From Montreal, Canada came Simple Plan. At the age of 13 Pierre Bouvier (vocals) and Chuck Comeau (Drums) started the band Reset. Reset was a success in Canada, so they started touring the country with MxPx, Ten Foot Pole, and Face to Face. In 1997 Reset put out a debut album, but Chuck Comeau left to attend college. Two years later Chuck Comeau, Sebastien Lefebvre (guitar), and Jeff Stinco (guitar) started making music so Chuck Comeau put school back a seat.

Pierre Bouvier however was still is Reset and getting tired of having to be the frontman and a guitarist. In late 1999 Pierre Bouvier and Chuck Comeau reunited at a Sugar Ray show. It wasn't long after that Pierre quit Reset and joined Chuck, Sebastien and Jeff. David Desrosiers (Bass and back-up vocals) replaced Pierre Bouvier in Reset. Soon he was asked to join Chuck, Pierre, Sebastien also known as Seb, and Jeff and Simple Plan was born.

Soon they landed show dates at the Vans Warped Tour in 2001 and Toronto's Snow Jam. In 2002 Simple Plan went into the studio to record there first record "No Pads, no helmets...just balls". Mark Hoppus from Blink 182 and Joel Madden from Good Charlotte helped with the record. At first they didn't really get any play at all but soon the record became a hit. They had four singles on their first album, I'm just a kid, I'd do anything, Addicted, and Perfect.

In 2003 Simple Plan took home a MuchMusic award for People's choice "Favortie Canadian band" in June. In 2004 Simple Plan went back into the studio to produce their second album with the help of Bob Rock. The album is called "Still Not getting any...". The album was a hit with songs "Welcome to my life", "Shut Up", "Untitled, and the new video "Crazy". Simple Plan has just put out a new album, Live from Hard Rock. There are two versions of the Live at Hard Rock CD, one that is just the regular CD and another one that comes with the CD as well as a DVD, a 32 page booklet and some special Simple Plan merch items.
